While the All Blacks are out in Australia and the Highlanders are waiting for their next season to begin, the provincial Otago team has just begun their new season. Provincial teams are akin to our triple A baseball teams. To cheer on our local team, we headed down to Forsyth Barr Stadium and spent the afternoon watching the game. Since it was a smaller match, we had great seats, sitting in the upper stand at right about the fifty meter mark. Though we didn’t understand all of the rules and calls, we do know that Otago won soundly and that it was fun to watch.
