Each week here in New Zealand the group has had an opportunity to give something back to the local Dunedin community. On Wednesday a group of students with special needs came to the boathouse in order to get a taste of the great sport of rowing. The Sparks group was able to join in and offer some tips on how to row the ergometer. It was a worthwhile experience for all parties involved with the students with special needs getting a bit of fun and exercise and the Sparks group members stepping outside of their comfort zone. This week, as the group gears up for the five day trip to Invercargill and Queenstown, the training will intensify, providing yet another opportunity for the group to push their own personal limits.
