On a partly rainy, partly sunny, partly windy, and partly calm day we welcomed the guys and girls of Term 2. They all went through the first day rites of passage: getting acquainted with the Sahara, the first meal at UniCol, the tour of the boathouse, having to find their way back from the boathouse after their first erg, etc. So far they’ve handled it well, even commenting on how “it’s not that cold…” It will be a long and challenging term for them, as it is for all our groups, but we’re excited to see what they can do in the ensuing weeks. Below is them on their first visit to Sand Fly Bay. As per norm, the wind tore violently and we got to meet a couple snoozing seals.
