We Are INvercargill

Our first stop on the road trip was Invercargill, one of the southernmost cities in New Zealand. While the rowers thought the weather in Dunedin was cold, Invercargill proved to be even more so. In fact, it rained so hard on the second day that the river rose above the steps (there was no dock) and came up almost to the little hill built to keep water from flooding the boathouse. Despite the high waters and cold weather, the rowers were still able to enjoy three rows with some of the Waihopai Juniors (the name of the club where we rowed).
