Camp Details

´╗┐Camp Sessions Include:

  • Technical instruction from collegiate coaches

  • First time rower clinic

  • Strength and Conditioning sessions

  • Coxswain specific development

  • Nutrition education specific to female athletes

  • Team building activities

  • Student-Athlete Q&A session

  • Scrimmage

Accommodations:

All participants will stay on-campus in UNC dormitories, 2 per room.   

Three meals a day will be provided through the campus dining hall services.

*Dinner only Monday of check-in

*Breakfast only Saturday check out

Transportation:

The lake is located 3 miles from campus, transportation will be provided for athletes to travel between lake and campus.

Meet Christopher

Counseling Associate

Chris Deyoung has worked at Sparks since 2013. He has coached rowing on the high school and collegiate level at Rutgers and Michigan. He holds a B.A. from Rutgers and an M.Ed. from the University of Michigan. His program at Rutgers went to club status while Chris worked as the recruiting coordinator there, and he brings an understanding of the collegiate athletic club experience to Sparks.
