Discover Rowing Summer Camp

Previous experience required: None

Ages: 12 to 17 years of age

Summer Camps are a great way for boys and girls ages 12-17 to learn about rowing and decide whether to take up the sport more seriously. For those who have already tried and enjoyed rowing, camp is a way to improve their skills!

Camps run in week-long sessions from 8:30pm-3:30pm, except on public holidays. The camps are directed by experienced rowers and coaches who are qualified in first aid and CPR. Campers get out on the Ottawa River daily, and learn water safety, boat rigging and maintenance. The camp also features other age-appropriate indoor and outdoor activities.

Equipment and supplies: dress for the weather in snug, comfortable sports clothing; socks, running shoes, hat and water bottle recommended. Lunch and snacks required. Sunscreen protection.

The program fee includes HST and required registration with rowing's national sport organization (Rowing Canada) and rowing's provincial sport organization (RowOntario).

All program fees include HST, credit card processing fees, Rowing Canada and RowOntario association fees.  Program fees do not include expenses associated with regatta participation, such as entry fees, travel and trailering fees.  Regatta expenses are in addition to the program fee.
