Camp Details

Summer Crew & Adventure

• For athletes with or without prior experience

• For athletes entering Grades 4 – 9

• Half Day (9:00 AM – Noon) and Full Day (9:00 AM – 4:00 PM)

High School Learn to Row

• For athletes entering grades 8 – 12

• For athletes interested in joining a Novice Racing Team Fall

Racing Development (Residential & Day)

• For athletes with at least one season Racing Experience entering grades 8 – 12

• Rigorous training and demanding schedule, both mentally and physically

• Spin bike and lifting sessions at a local gym

• Lectures: Nutrition, Mental Training, Rules of Racing

• Five days of training and racing in beautiful Victoria British Columbia

HS Varsity/Collegiate Small Boat

• HS Varsity and Collegiate Athletes

• Focus on 1X, 2X, 2-, 4X and 4-

• Skills based, power-per-stroke training

• 5:30 – 8:00 AM, M-F

Trials (Junior, U23, Senior)

• Select Boats for World Championships Trials and competition

• Men and Women

• Sculling Boats

Meet Marcus

Director of Coxswain Coaching

Marcus is a six-time world medalist, three-time world champion, and an Olympic bronze medalist coxswain from Philadelphia. He holds a B.A. from Temple University and a J.D. from the University of San Francisco. He has worked at Sparks since 2010. As a coxswain, he is intimately acquainted with the recruiting and training issues around specialized sport positions and is the primary architect of Sparks' coxswain curriculum.
