Camp Details

Junior recreational rowing camps run weekly during the summer, with a choice of two daily sessions:

  • 9-11 am
  • 3-5 pm

Sign up for one week, two weeks, three weeks — or for a whole summer of rowing!

Our internationally known coaching staff offers an opportunity for all levels to  develop their potential with solid rowing skills and team fundamentals.

Summer camps covers water safety, rowing basics, strength training and rower stretching. You will also learn the fundamentals of handling a racing shell from the simple task of getting it into the water, to making adjustments to the equipment for proper rowing efficiency.

Rowers are required to wear spandex shorts, close fitting shirts, and sneakers.

Meet Nate

Counseling Associate

Nate holds a B.A. from Stanford University and has worked with Sparks since 2015. Prior to his time at Sparks, Nate spent seven years in at Stanford coaching and recruiting for the women's rowing program. During that time, he also represented the US, rowing on the Under 23 National Team. Nate’s extensive knowledge of the rowing recruiting process enables him to better advise parents and students at every step.
