Description: 3 Day Rowing Camp

The Rowing Camp at the University of Tennessee is a unique opportunity for high school rowers to improve their technique and work on racing skills in an individualized setting. While spending time both sweeping and sculling, the camp will provide each athlete plenty of individualized coaching attention and time to breakdown the various aspects of the rowing stroke. Practices during the camp will take place at the Vol Rowing Boathouse located just steps from campus. This camp caters to the individual athlete's ability, so all levels of experience are welcome. This three-day camp is the perfect pre-cursor to summer competition and a great way to build enthusiasm for continued training.

Time

Thursday: Check-In at 3:00PM to 7:00pm 
Friday: 7:30am-5:30pm 
Saturday: 7:30am- 5:30pm Check-Out 

All overnight campers must be 13 years of age or older.

Meet Leanne

Director of Counseling

Leanne has guided countless families through the rowing recruiting and college admissions process since joining Sparks in 2010. A lightweight rower at the U.S. Naval Academy, former helicopter pilot and Division I rowing coach, Leanne will hold her M.Ed. in Higher Education from George Washington with a concentration in policy and finance by 2018 and also holds a graduate certificate in College Counseling from UCLA. She is a member of IECA, the Independent Educational Consultants Association.
